Chase customer online banking assistance experience - Chase banking experience
While the phone staff are exceedingly professional, polite and competent, the banking policies of Chase have become more onerous than ever.
First, the online choice list it too extensive and wait time is unacceptable. I believe they know this and choose to not prioritize this issue. I have bank accounts with other banks and their online service is much faster. This has been a longstanding issue.
Second, for a random security question, I was asked the amount of my monthly mortgage payment to another bank...REALLY??????? Completely invasive and unacceptable. I will be moving some money to a credit union where I may be asked my favorite flower. (Again, the staff person was exceedingly professional and just politely reading from an approved list).
Finally, with a recent redesign of the online bill pay screen, Chase added a new category of payees "My Chase Accounts" which duplicated longstanding (5 years) Chase-related payees. And these added payees don't function the same way as the payees you add yourself. When I paid my HECL invoice using the new payee, the transaction did not show in my payment activities. I had paid 3 bills and I was able to verify the other 2 transactions. Thinking the third did not go through, I paid it again, which resulted in a duplicate payment...which I had to call to fix the next day. Thanks Chase, I want to spend all my days calling the bank to pay a bill to YOU so I can re-verify my identity another hundred times. To avoid further confusion, I tried to delete the recently added payee group, but clients are not able to do this.
All in all, Chase is becoming more of a problem than a help.
